The in-situ steam created by SPH rapidly
vaporizes DNAPLs above and below the ground-water table. SPH
provides controlled heating that can be applied directly to
suspected DNAPL contaminant zones including those along the bottom
of aquifers. DNAPLs with boiling points near that of water will be
directly remediated by bulk DNAPL pool boiling.
