CES

Leadership

CES was founded in 1997 by the Battelle Memorial Institute and Terra Vac (TV) as the private company to commercialize ERH. The primary inventor of the ERH patents was William Heath, the full time Chief Operating Officer of CES. All other ERH vendors’ only work with the limited technology provided to them by the initial research the CES team developed, TODAY we continue to advance the technology and the safety needed for ERH to become the thermal remediation standard.

Engineering

CES has maintained the fundamental engineering practices and the reliance upon the proven data base built during the development of ERH. Because of our foundation as the inventors and continued students of ERH we have designed the most complete power delivery equipment, electrode design, and system monitoring controls to deliver an unprecedented and unparalleled track record of successes in the ERH field.

Technology

Our continued R&D program has again advanced the ERH technologies by developing the first, data proven, multi-level segmented electrodes which can drive contaminant from deep in the formation sequentially upward to the surface. This technique is the cutting edge of ISTT and NO OTHER ERH VENDOR HAS PROVEN THIS CAPABILITIY!

Data & Analytics

The formation has power input limits, if exceeded the power and cost are wasted and unsafe pressures are generated in the subsurface. Hourly current and voltage data is used to calculate and display power to each electrode and track electrode to formation resistance. Delivering power to electrodes is a strategy which is devised based on geo-physical parameters and project objectives.

Safety

Our ERH systems utilize the industry’s most complete hardware and digital program controls and safety interlocks providing unmatched protection of human health and to the environment. Eight robust power safety measures monitor and prevent current overloads and all of our equipment is designed within NEC specifications.
